A tribute to the great artist Brancusi , reinterpreted in my own style.

Constantin Brâncuși was considered one of the most influential sculptors of the 20th-century and a pioneer of modernism. He was a visionary, being called the patriarch of modern sculpture, best known for the uniquely reductive, modernist visual vocabulary he used in sculptures to depict a wide variety of subjects, such as fish, birds, and couples kissing. His works can be seen in the permanent exhibition at MOMA.

The WEB3 READY - TRIBUTE collection re-interprets four of Brancusi’s most known pieces, as a tribute to his work, in 3D miniatures, as I imagined them to be exhibited in a Metaverse exhibition.

In the "Sleeping Muse", a movingly alive portrait of an actual woman, the Baroness Frachon, is given timelessly abstract form. Her features are stylized, flattened, close to not being, as the self is seemingly in sleep. The eyes of the "Sleeping Muse" may be shut, but her ear is open to the sounds of the world The way I saw this piece was more like a moment in time rather than a physical object, a moment that can expand as long as one needs: to breathe, to think, to contemplate, to just exist.
I wanted this looping artwork to give life to the way the sculptor intended it to be: peace descending into the soul of the viewer. The pastels make you calm, the bright colors make you present, while the gold handle bar along with the idea of a precious object exhibited in a museum pedestal reminds us that being at peace is a luxury in life, that we should treasure every time we have the chance to do so.
The sculpture "The Gate of Kiss" is a proud testimony to one country's commitment to remembering what will always matter in human terms, irrespective of political priorities. I chose to re-interpret this piece in glass to draw attention to the fragility of an art work displayed outdoor, that decays over time, where with each decade that passes, the stone of the original piece gets more and more rounded at the corners, with each snow during winter gets a little bit more eroded and with each bird resting on it the stone changes color.

The Endless Column stacks 15 rhomboidal modules, with a half-unit at the top and bottom, making a total of 16, symbolizing the concept of infinity.
The incomplete top unit is thought to be the element that expresses the concept of it not having an end.
The concept of the infinite in the column can be seen in the gradient, which gives the appearance of the modules getting smaller as it ascends, the base appearing as thick roots in the ground.
The incomplete half module that appears at the top of the monument could allude to an ethereality, the continuation of the column into the sky. If the Endless Column is a form of axis mundi, then conceptually the column connects the heavens, the earth, and the underworld.

The axis mundi is defined in mythology as the world centre, as a connection between heaven and earth as a celestial and geographic pole. For me the Endless Column is about infinite hope or infinite despair. I chose to go all dark with the chromatics on this piece, so that the only thing that has light is the item itself, that basically seems to light up the room from within, very much alike like one’s energy to pursue either light or darkness.
I chose this bright polimeric opaque surface to represent the sculpture, as a symmetry to how I portray myself.
Through Mademoiselle Pogany Brancusi explores the nature of the feminine spirit: she is the simplicity defined, the essence of things, she is THE MUSE. He made her shy, petite, not drawing attention to herself.

My version of it it's bold, not afraid to speak up or be the center of attention in a room full of people, eager to get her opinions out and be seen, heard, somebody you simply cannot ignore.
For me, this piece became a manifesto of women's affirmations, in a patriarchal world dominated by male figures.
